  • Why Did You Choose Streaming instead of Download?

    It’s the way of the future. We decided early on that we wanted to provide the best possible training at the lowest possible price. To lower costs we eliminated both hard-copy and download delivery. We recognize that, while some people like having a DVD on their bookshelf, most of you love the fact that you don’t have to haul your library of DVDs back and forth to work. You can access your CG-Masters material wherever you have high-speed access. We also realized that we can upgrade and improve our training “live” using this configuration… which essentially stacks a layer of awesome on top of a price point of awesomeness. Any content associated with the training is downloadable, though.

  • I live in an area where high-speed internet is not available. Can I watch your video training?

    Unfortunately no. You can watch, but the videos will not stream and your viewing experience will not be good. We seriously regret we are unable to serve you at this time. If you are unsure whether or not you have sufficient bandwidth, try watching one of our free previews. They are delivered in exactly the same way as the complete titles. If you can watch our previews, you can watch our videos.

  • What's so great about your training videos?

    What’s so great? What’s so GREAT?
    All our Masters are hardcore, seriously experienced, working professionals in film, broadcast and games. All our tutorials are carefully edited so you don’t get 25 minutes of “umm”, “ehhhrrrr”, “ahem” and “basically”. Our pricing is what we call “student pricing”. And of course our delivery is instantaneous.

  • What's all this I hear about an expiry date?

    When we first launched, we believed we could keep costs low by expiring a viewing license after a period of time…you know…like when you RENT a MOVIE to watch? ;) But feedback from our first customers and an analysis of our first few months in business caused us to conclude that this was just us being stupid and too worried. The material will always be available here until it is totally obsolete, at which time we will release it to the public.

  • Where Did CG-Masters.com Come From?

    Long Experience. All our CG Masters have been working in the industry a long time. We have all seen bad training videos and we hate them. You know…the ones where the artist pauses a lot to make the video longer…or the one where the artist begins every single sentence with the word “basically”. So basically we want to fix that. Not only is our material created by hard-core professional artists, but most of us are teachers as well. But back to the main question: Where do we come from? From the desire to pass on to the next generation all the tricks we learned the hard way, and in a way that is easy to learn.

  • Where Did I Leave My Keys?

    Did you check under the couch? How about in the front door?

  • How can I turn off the watermark?

    You can’t. Sorry.

    We embed your identity into the data stream for fairly obvious reasons. There are a few people out there who would screen capture and distribute our training for free. This would collapse our business. We find it annoying that we have to take this measure and we don’t like it either. But we do want to stay in business and keep bringing you great training. The pirates give us little choice.

  • Can I view CG-Masters Training Videos on my IPad?

    Not yet. Apple has gone to great lengths not to support anything not created by Apple. We`re confident we`ll crack that nut sooner or later. They work great on any non-Apple mobile device that supports Flash, though.
